Snorkeling in Honolulu is very popular because it's easy to find gear to buy or rent and there are beautiful fish everywhere - even at crowded beaches! You'll see people surfing and snorkeling almost everywhere you go on Oahu and you don't have to be an expert to do it.

Where To Snorkel In Honolulu

Where there's water, there's possible snorkeling! All of the beaches in Waikiki and Honolulu are good spots but be careful around the sharp rocks and coral! For more sandy areas with fewer rocks, we suggest Waikiki's Kuhio Beach.

One of the most popular places to go snorkeling is Hanauma Bay. It's not really in Honolulu but it's only a short distance away and the snorkeling is so amazing we have to mention it.

As for the mask, snorkel and fins, bring your own or buy or rent them when you get here.
