Honolulu Restaurants

Honolulu Restaurants can be pricey! Fortunately, Honolulu does have some amazing restaurants from moderately priced to expensive. You probably won't have time to try them all in one visit so you just might have to come back!

Note: Some Honolulu restaurants take cash only. If you plan to use a credit card, ask right away which cards the restaurant accepts to avoid a mad dash to the nearest bank.

Japanese Restaurants

You won't have to search around for Japanese Food because there are Japanese and Sushi Restaurants everywhere! It could be because most of the tourists that visit Oahu are from Japan. Surprisingly, the prices in Honolulu are not much more expensive than the mainland. (We always get a little nervous when we see cheap sushi anyway.)

Vietnamese and Thai Restaurants

There are tons of great Japanese restaurants in Honolulu and Waikiki but if you're looking for Vietnamese or Thai food try these places.

Good Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. They do take out too.

This place is away from the tourist areas so to get to it you probably need a car but you will find a very nice decor and great Thai food.

Chinese Restaurants

For good Chinese Food, we recommend Chinatown, which you will find has more than just Chinese food. You'll find Honolulu Restaurants with food from all over the world.

Very popular for watching football and other sporting events-don't forget about the time difference! They also have a location in the Hilton Hawaiian Village and will deliver to Waikiki hotels.

Arancino Italian Pasta and Pizza
255 Beachwalk Street
Honolulu, Hawaii 96815

Small place with a nice romantic atmosphere, good food and good service. They have another location in the Waikiki Marriott with the same good food but not quite the atmosphere. Also listed in our favorite Italian Restaurants.

Italian Restaurants

Italian restaurants are great family restaurants with a variety of plates to please almost everyone, especially kids! The portions tend to be very generous too so don't be surprised if you have left overs.

Natural Food and Vegetarian Restaurants

If you're on a special diet, are vegetarian or are just looking for more natural, healthy food, try these natural food and vegetarian restaurants and grocery stores. Even the "regular" grocery stores have many natural and organic options.

French Restaurants

Maybe you're looking for a more romantic spot or some fine French cuisine. You can get both in Honolulu at these French eateries.

Barbeque

Beef, chicken, pork, seafood and some local favorites - all from the grill. Don't miss trying Huli Huli Chicken if you get the chance-that's barbeque chicken Hawaiian style.

Indian Food

You might not see many Indian restaurants while walking around Waikiki or the main downtown area but not to worry. There are some nice places to get some good Indian food.

Mexican Food

Mexican food can satisfy any craving for spicy and even if you prefer mild, you can find something good. Mexican restaurants usually offer vegetarian options too.

Local Spots

Hawaii has some very distinctive dishes and lots of seafood. Enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the aloha at some of these favorite local places.

And for the Rock and Roll fan, there's a Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki.

Coffee Shops

Just looking for a cup of coffee and a snack? You'll find some wonderful local spots as well as your international favorites, including places that serve the quality Kona Coffee Hawaii is known for. Set back and enjoy.

Bring your own coffee cup, get a small discount and help save natural resources.

Food Delivery in Honolulu and Waikiki

If you don't want to go out, in addition to ordering room service, you have some other interesting options from good old pizza delivery to having some very unique meals delivered to you by specialty companies like Home Bistro and DineWise.com.
