Honolulu Map
Our favorite places for a Honolulu Map is Google and The Oahu Mapbook. You can see hotels, historical landmarks, real estate, bus routes and more. GoogleGoogle's great! You can view street maps and satellite maps. You can zoom in and out and can even put in markers of specific places to find exactly what you want. View Larger MapThe Oahu MapbookWe keep this guidebook in our car at all times! It's great to plan a trip in the city because you can see which ways the one way streets run. It's also helpful outside Honolulu when streets are not always well marked so you aren't always sure where you are. Also find bus routes, schools, libraries and other landmarks. Driving in Honolulu and WaikikiDowntown is where you’ll find many government buildings as well as Iolani Palace, the Mission Houses and the Academy of Arts. Most of the parking is metered street parking. Driving downtown can be tricky with one way streets and streets that end unexpectedly. Using the bus to go downtown is really easy. Several different bus lines come by often so during business hours, you never have to wait long for a bus. Waikiki is easy. There are three main streets: - Kalakaua Avenue runs towards Diamondhead to the East
- Kuhio Avenue runs both ways
- Ala Wai Boulevard runs towards Ala Moana to the West
In the morning, what for delivery trucks double parked along Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenues. Kalakaua is also very popular for holiday parades so watch for closures.
