Honolulu Hotels

You will have no problem finding great Honolulu Hotels. In fact, with so many, choosing one might be difficult. Online is the best place to start. You can check rates and availability, find out about location and amenities and sometimes see pictures of the rooms. You can get some nice online special rates as well.

Waikiki Hotels

If you're coming to Honolulu for the beaches, you'll want to stay in Waikiki. It has all the familiar international hotel resorts right along the beach.

Right on Kalakaua Avenue, the street that runs along Waikiki Beach:

Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Marriott Waikiki.

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Sheraton Moana Surfrider.

Not on Kalakaua Avenue but right on the beach:

In the heart of Waikiki but not on the beach:

Embassy Suites Waikiki.

These hotel and resorts are pricey but you know you will get quality accommodations, amenities and service. Everything you need is right there in the hotel from room service and restaurants to shopping to day spas. You can also choose from a ton of small and large local hotels including the famous Royal Hawaiian.

Toward Diamondhead

You don't have to stay right in Waikiki to be close to everything. Waikiki can be busy and maybe you want something more quiet or you're looking for a hotel close to the airport. If you want quiet, slightly out of the way and still on the beach, head towards Diamondhead.

If you go towards Diamondhead you are still right by the beach and still within walking distance or a short bus ride to the shopping and restaurants. Check out:

The Ala Moana Area

We are referring to the area around the Ala Moana Shopping Center which is between Downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. If you want something that is still near beaches but also close to Chinatown and museums, head toward Ala Moana and the Downtown area. This is where you will find:

Condos and Hostels

In addition to Honolulu Hotels, you have the option of renting a condo which can be really nice if you have a family or several people who can share the place. Many condos come with kitchens so you can cook for yourself.

Honolulu also has some hostels, perfect for traveling students or the more adventurous type who doesn't need anything fancy.

Caution: If you make your reservation using a third party, we recommend you confirm your reservation with the hotel directly. Every once in a while, communication breaks down and the reservation does not get booked properly so better safe than sorry. Most hotels have a toll free number or e-mail address so you can contact them from anywhere.

With so many choices of Honolulu Hotels, you will surely find the right one for you that will make your vacation absolutely fabulous!
