The Honolulu International Airport has a nice central location that is not miles and miles away from the city. It's Hawaii's main airport so many travelers arrive here on route to other destinations within the islands and elsewhere. Because of this convenient location, visitors staying near the airport can still have easy access to Honolulu's wonderful beaches, shopping and restaurants.

At The Airport

There are two sister hotels at the airport with the most convenient airport locations and both offer free 24-hour airport shuttle service. These are not luxurious resort hotels but they will get you close to the airport.

Both hotels have renovations scheduled in 2007 so expect some major improvements.

Near The Airport

If neither of these hotels suits your needs, you can find more options Downtown and you will still be near the airport. One popular choice is:

It's about 6 miles or 9.6 kilometers from the airport and within 1 mile or 1.6 kilometers of Chinatown and the Aloha Tower Marketplace. Again, this is not a luxurious resort but you will find nice rooms and amenities at affordable rates.

In Waikiki

The fancy resort and spas are in Waikiki that is farther away from the airport and not as convenient as the airport and Downtown locations. Even so, they are still easily accessible by taxi, shuttle and public transportation, assuming you do not have a rental car.

If you don't have much time and need to stay by the airport but really want to see Waikiki, you still might get to. Compare the hotels online to find which one fits your needs and budget. You can also get more information on our Main Hotel page.
