Hawaii Polo

Entrance sign at the North Shore Polo field.

People have been playing Polo here since the turn of the century and Hawaii Polo is still going strong on Oahu. The games are open to the public so bring all your friends or the whole family and enjoy a picnic while you watch some amazing athletes, both the horses and the humans.

Polo game on Oahu. Oahu's main polo field is on the North Shore right on the beach where the weather is absolutely gorgeous! Dress up in your biggest, wildest hat or wear your bathing suit -- or both!

Spectators get the chance to see players from all over the world compete; players from Argentina, Germany, England and the mainland. Some players come from abroad to play for teams here in Hawaii for the season and other teams come just to play in specific tournaments. No matter who is playing, the game is sure to be exciting!

After the game, the entertainment begins. A different band plays each week and of course, the bar is open. Have a drink, mingle, enjoy - you may even get the chance to speak with some of the players.
