The 2010 season opens with soft openings on March 7th and March 14th and the Grand Opening Sunday, March 21!
People have been playing Polo here since the turn of the century and Hawaii Polo is still going strong on Oahu. The games are open to the public so bring your friends and family for a day at the beach and an afternoon of polo where you get to watch some amazing athletes, both the horses and the riders.
Oahu's main polo field is on the North Shore right on the beach where the weather is absolutely gorgeous! Fans can bring their own picnic or food is available at The 5th Chukker's outdoor barbeque. There is also Hawaii Polo apparel for sale to really get you in the spirit. Dress up in your biggest, wildest hat or wear your bathing suit -- or both!
Spectators get the chance to see players from all over the world compete; players from Argentina, Mexico, Germany, England and the mainland. The rivalry is especially exciting when the Maui team comes to challenge the home Oahu team. And once a year, there is special Wahine Tournament when just the women play. No matter who is playing, the game is sure to be exciting!
After the game, the entertainment begins. A different band plays each week and of course, the bar is open. Have a drink, meet the polo players and dance the night away.
The Polo Field Isn't Just For Polo
The polo field in Mokuleia on Oahu's North Shore not only hosts polo games on Sundays during polo season, it also hosts special events and weddings all year round. Guests can use the Club House which has a full kitchen and barbeque and covered deck. There's plenty of room for parking and the location is spectacular - right on the beach!
Oahu's premier oceanfront trail rides also use the polo field. Guests have the opportunity to ride real polo ponies as they make their way around the field, along the beach and through the woods. Private rides and group rides available.
So if you've come for polo or you are hosting a private event, we will see you on the polo field!
