Kauai
From Honolulu, you can catch a quick 30 minute flight to Lihue. On Kauai you will find the wettest spot on earth, Mount Waialeale. That means you can expect rain. It can get rather windy too.
Kauai is also home to the Pacific's largest canyon, Waimea Canyon. Vista points and hiking trails offer some amazing views and you'll get to see plenty of waterfalls.

Maui
Kahului City is just a 40 minute flight from Honolulu. Maui's got beaches, forest, hiking, amazing hotels and resorts and the Great Maui Whale Festival, one of the best times to go whale watching.

The Big Island of Hawaii
Hawaii is the youngest and largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Fly into either Hilo on the east side or Kailua-Kona on the west side, both less than an hour flight from Honolulu.

Molokai
This laid back island has no traffic lights and really, no one is in much of a hurry. It's a great place to relax and do some hiking. Many visit Molokai to see the site of Saint Damien's ministry to the lepers at Kalaupapa. Molokai airport is located in the middle of the island and is a 30 minute flight from Honolulu. Note: the flight between Honolulu and Molokai can get pretty bumpy.
