Hawaii Five-0 (1968-1980)
The original Hawaii series starring Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett and James MacArthur as Danny "Danno" Williams, two police officers keeping Oahu safe. Hawaii Five-O has a catchy theme song and is well known for Jack Lord's line, "Book 'em Danno."
Magnum PI (1980-1988)
Starring the handsome Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum, Private Detective. Magnum gets to drive around beautiful Oahu in a borrowed Ferrari. With the help of his buddies Rick and TC, Magnum always manages to solve whatever problem his client has.
Baywatch Hawaiian Wedding (2003)
The very popular Baywatch series based in California goes to Hawaii with David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchannon and Pamela Anderson as C.J. Parker.
From Here to Eternity (1953)
Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster star in one of the sexiest Hawaii films ever. The steamy beach love scene filmed near Hanauma Bay caused quite a stir in its time.
Jurassic Park II and III (1997 and 2001)
Dinosaurs running wild and Jeff Goldblum cracking jokes. Great special effects bring the extinct animals to life. Filmed on Oahu and Kauai.
Fifty First Dates (2004)
Starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. Barrymore plays a woman in love with Sandler but she can't remember because she has short term amnesia. Sandler must remind here everyday that she's crazy about him. Listen for lots of Hawaiian lingo from supporting actor Rob Snyder. Lots of Oahu scenery.
Blue Crush (2002)
Kate Bosworth stars as a young aspiring surfer. The film features both actors and professional surfers and some amazing waves.
Windtalkers (2002)
This World War Two film starring Nicholas Cage is based on a true story. The military used the Navajo language as a code and the Navajo translators were called Windtalkers.
